 Why should I register for a Copart Membership? 

The first step in bidding and buying the cars you want is registering for a Copart Basic or Premier Membership! Copart’s Basic and Premier Memberships come with many benefits, including: 

  • Buying Power to bid and win 

  • Being able to view multiple live online auctions simultaneously.

  • Save your searches and create Watchlists

  • A personal Member Dashboard 

  • Exclusive Broker discounts 

  • Special access to Member appreciation events

How can I sign up for a Copart Membership?

Register in 3 steps: 

1. Complete step one of the registration form with your name, phone number and email address. Once you’ve submitted this form, you will receive an email with a link to create your password.

2 and 3. Choose your membership, submit your payment and upload your documents

Once the Member License Team has verified your documents, you will receive an email notifying you that your account has been activated for bidding. Please note processing and verification of your documents may take up to three business days.

If you are already a Registered Guest who needs to finish the registration process, please do so on the “Complete Registration”page within your Account Information section.

 

What is Buying Power, and how much do I have?

Buying Power refers to the amount you can spend on vehicles. When you register you will start with $2000 CAD.

How do I increase my Buying Power?

There are two ways that members can increase their Buying Power:

  • Add a deposit on your account that is equal to 10% of the maximum amount you wish to spend

  • Upgrading to a Premier Membership gives you substantial Buying Power to bid on multiple vehicles at a time 

Deposits that have been placed on your account cannot be applied to vehicle purchases. Deposits can be fully refunded as long as all open invoices have been paid in full. You can add deposits to increase your Buying Power or upgrade to Premier Membership through your My Account page.

What are the other benefits of a Premier Membership?

Premier Member benefits, include:

  • Priority Member Services phone support 

  • One free safety vest per year

  • Complementary bottled water when visiting a Copart location 

  • Fast pass barcode scanning to preview vehicles

What is the Copart Member Protection Pledge?

The Copart Member Protection Pledge is an agreement from Copart to meet a predefined group of conditions, if these conditions are not met members have the option to get their money back. This agreement is subject to limitations. The Pledge is offered on purchases of any items bought through Copart for less than $49,999.99.

The Pledge speaks about vehicle images, odometer readings, run conditions, title types, Brokers and more. As you read through the pledge, you will notice that the limitations, eligibility requirements and claims instructions are clearly outlined.

Copart will, in its sole discretion, determine whether a loss is of the type that qualifies for a Copart Member Protection Pledge reimbursement, your eligibility to participate and the final amount of any reimbursement. We reserve the right to terminate the Copart Member Protection Pledge or modify its Terms and Conditions at any time – with or without notice.

Why can’t I register on the website?

  • Enter the information in English (Latin) letters. Our system only reads English characters

  • Make sure you entered the information correctly (check Google to ensure your postal code and city are correct)

  • If you have selected your country, the international address/phone number should work

  • If for some reason you have exhausted all options and are still unsuccessful - email member.services@copart.com

  • To make it easier to complete the registration process, we recommend registering on a mobile phone. It will be easier to upload photos of the documents that you need to upload
