  3. Upgrade to Premier Membership or submit a deposit to bid more than $1,000
  4. Upload your business licenses (if applicable)
    • If you do not have a business license, you will need to either bid on “No License Required” vehicles or contact a broker.
  5. Search inventory and start bidding

Bidding without Business Licenses

Some of the vehicles in Copart auctions can only be sold to Members who possess the state-required business licenses. These requirements vary depending on the state and the vehicle’s document type. Registered brokers give you temporary access to bid on all vehicles using their account. Certain brokers also provide assistance with bidding, transporting and exporting vehicles.

Inspecting Vehicles

It is important to inspect vehicles in person or to download vehicle history reports to understand the full extent of any vehicle damage. All Copart locations are open Monday through Friday to Members during regular business hours. If you can’t make it in, you can hire a inspector or review vehicle history reports using AutoCheck, instaVIN or Market Guide Report.

Payment

Copart offers a number of payment methods including cashier’s check, money order, wire transfer, company check, ePay online payments and personal credit or debit cards. Restrictions apply.

Pick Up

After you have paid in full, you can pick up your vehicle from the location during normal business hours. Vehicles must be picked up within five business days of a winning Internet bid or three business days after a winning kiosk bid, including the sale date. If you do not have your own method of transportation, Copart provides long and short haul transportation options for vehicle delivery locations in the U.S. When you arrive we will load your vehicle onto your transporter. All heavy and medium-duty vehicles are self-load only. If you need more time to pick up your vehicle, you can keep it stored at the Copart location for an additional daily fee.
